You may think we play all day but we are learning in our own special way!
We are pleased to offer all children a place in our Nursery starting the term after their third birthday when the 15 hour/30 hour funding begins.
We offer 15 hours free funding for all children and 30 hours free funding for those families that are eligible.
Either Morning Sessions - 9 am - 12 noon,
Or Afternoon Sessions - 12.30 - 3.30 pm
30 hour sessions run from 9 am - 3 pm (or 3.30pm for an extra cost of £2.50 per day)
If you only qualify for 15 hours of funding, but would like extra sessions, these are available at a cost of £5 per hour until 3.30 pm.
For those children staying for a full day, a hot meal can be ordered at a cost of £2.50 per day or a packed lunch provided from home.
All sessions operate term time only, alongside the school calendar.
We now take new admissions throughout the year - September, January and April. Please contact the school office for more information and a registration form. If you would like to visit the Nursery or would like to find out more information, please contact the school office on 01202 673966 who will be happy to make you an appointment.
Our nursery is a balance of adult led learning opportunities and children's choices of play activities with a qualified teacher and teacher assistant in the class.
Our Nursery offers a purpose built carpeted classroom, airy open plan facilities and outdoor play area.
Learning is planned for both the indoor and the outdoor areas. The children are encouraged to work collaboratively at times and independently at other times. One of the most important things children learn at Nursery is to play and share with other children. They begin to learn the social skills ready for school.
What will my child need to wear?
Although school uniform is optional, many of the children are very proud to wear the Old Town school jumper. The children wear aprons for 'messy play' but can still get their clothes dirty from time to time, so no best clothes please!
If you wish to apply for a place at Old Town Nursery, you can either pick up a registration form from the school office or complete the registration form within this section and email to OldTown.Nurseryadmissions@coastalpartnership.co.uk.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
