Thank you for taking an interest in Old Town Infant School and Nursery, which is a highly valued member of the Multi Academy Trust, Coastal Learning Partnership (CLP).
CLP is a single family of twenty schools across two Local Authority areas: Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council. The two furthermost points of CLP are Boscombe and Swanage. There are about 5,400 pupils overall who are supported by around 900 committed staff.
Our schools work closely together in a spirit of professional generosity and collaboration, sharing resource and expertise.
Although part of the same single family, every school in CLP is different and unique and those differences are greatly valued. Each school has its own identify and values which express the local communities that they serve. Those schools within CLP which are church schools express their Christian distinctiveness through their unique vision.
CLP’s motto is ‘Broadening Horizons Together’. This is because we want every member of the CLP community to really flourish; children enjoy an inspiring educational experience and staff enjoy professional opportunity and fulfilment. That is achieved through being part of a single learning community.
CLP has three core values which influence the way in which we work together:
Serve: Schools in CLP serve each another as well as their local communities and families
Inspire: Staff inspire each other and their pupils
Empower: Schools, and everyone in them, are empowered to be their very best
Old Town Infant School and Nursery has made a commitment to the CLP family, secure in the knowledge that serving others in this way will lead to a better educational experience for all of the pupils.
